The theme of ANARKY 2019 is “Disruptive Anthropology”.   We invite submissions that demonstrate the correlative or interrelating aspects of biological anthropology, socio-cultural anthropology, and archaeology, as well as submissions that utilize methods, theories, and approaches evoking the unusual, idiosyncratic and disruptive nature of anthropology as a discipline. As we move into a more inclusive and interconnected academic landscape, it is necessary to reassess our ways of knowing and to tear down sub-disciplinary walls. ANARKY seeks to disrupt the status quo by dismantling structures within the discipline that discourage collaboration across the sub-fields, and encourage diversity in thought, method, and focus.
